Review & Swatches of the ColourPop 9-Pan Shadow Palettes (Part 2)

Review & Swatches of the ColourPop 9-Pan Shadow Palettes (Part 2)

Honestly, this is something I fell off the train of following with each of the new releases ColourPop did with the 9-pan palettes as I have gotten almost all of them. Save for three of more recent ones though I will probably end up getting them at some point. Instead of going back to the original post I did on this, I figured I would just start a part 2. So, if you want to see the first set in ColourPop's 9-pan collection check out that post.…

Comparing ColourPop x Kathleen Lights Dream Street Palette to Dominique Cosmetics Latte Palette

Comparing ColourPop x Kathleen Lights Dream Street Palette to Dominique Cosmetics Latte Palette

This is a concept I got from Cleia, which I've had in my "'post ideas" list forever but never ended up doing. And recently I've been using Dominique Cosmetics Latte Palette for my everyday makeup. So, I thought it was finally time to compare this palette with the Kathleen Lights x ColourPop Dream St. Palette.…

Review of Ace Beaute Scarlet Dusk Palette

Review of Ace Beaute Scarlet Dusk Palette

I love a good sunset moment on the eyes or red eyeshadow. It reminds me of my favorite color plus the deeper shades just call to me. I miss my Merlot hair on a frequent basis (remind me not to start that up again, I'm extremely tempted at the moment) and this palette has shades that remind me so much of this. Specifically the shades Bahamas and Sangria, especially Sangria. Anyways, I've been using this palette for the better part of the last week since reds are more "work-appropriate" than blue and green, so next up in reviewing of Ace Beaute palettes is Scarlet Dusk.…

Was it Bad Makeup Science? Review & Swatches of the ColourPop x Safiya Nygaard Lux Lipstick Collection

Was it Bad Makeup Science? Review & Swatches of the ColourPop x Safiya Nygaard Lux Lipstick Collection

Safiya Nygaard has a long running series on her YouTube channel where she performs bad makeup science that often results in mixing together large amounts of makeup. Often times being lipstick. And well I don't normally go for creme lipstick (like at all in the last two years), when I learned she came out with a collection with ColourPop I wanted it.…

Are You the One I’ve Been Looking for? Overview of the ColourPop x Disney Frozen II Anna and Elsa Shadow Palettes

Are You the One I’ve Been Looking for? Overview of the ColourPop x Disney Frozen II Anna and Elsa Shadow Palettes

ColourPop and Disney collaborated yet again for a Frozen II Collection, which included two 9-pan palettes named after each of the sisters: Anna and Elsa. Each palette costs $15, includes a mirror and comes in a cardboard packaging. I love Disney, and recently saw Frozen II (see The Pop Culture Download #18 for my thoughts on the movie). I've been listening to several of the songs on repeat since seeing the movie. So, even though I swore I wasn't going to buy anymore palettes... I couldn't stop myself. I had to get these.…

3 Looks 1 Palette – Kaleidos Makeup Futurism V: Electro-Turquoise Palette

Continuing on with the neon color, we're going with the teal and orange end of things with the Kaleidos Makeup summer limited edition Futurism V: Electro-Turquoise palette. Like the other palette from this collection, I am going to do a 3 Looks 1 Palette style review of the palette. This palette like their previous ones contains 6 shades, with four mattes, a duo-chrome, and a metallic for $24. …

Kaleidos Makeup Futurism I-III Palettes Review

Kaleidos Makeup Futurism I-III Palettes Review

Something I want to do is try more indie, cruelty free brands. One that I've been extremely curious about is Kaleidos makeup. At the time I ordered these palettes there were only three palettes out, though now they have released another two that look really interesting plus aren't something in my collection. I might get them but I will be waiting a month or two beforehand since I need to stick to a budget. So, I'm going to be reviewing the original three: Cyber Bronze, Sci-Fi Green, and Astro-Pink.…

Swatches of the Jeffree Star Cosmetics Jawbreaker & Mini Breaker Palettes

Swatches of the Jeffree Star Cosmetics Jawbreaker & Mini Breaker Palettes

Alright swatching time! A concept that is both a great visual of a palette but a horrible way of telling how shadows perform. I already shared three of the looks I created using the Jeffree Star Cosmetics Jawbreaker palette, and will have the Mini Breaker Palette looks up later this week. So, in the meantime, I thought I would share the swatches of both the palettes. My overall thoughts on the palette will be reserved for their individual posts.…
