Juvia’s Place The Nubian 2 Palette Review & Swatches

One brand I've wanted to try for a while is Juvia's Place after hearing a lot about the palettes from Bridgette (Porcelain) and NikkieTutorials. And I went a little crazy and purchased all of their eyeshadow palettes that were available at Ulta, so I'm going to be sharing my thoughts of them over time until I've gotten through all of them. The first palette I decided to test out was The Nubian 2, which was inspired by Nefertiti. She was known for her outstanding beauty, strength and spirituality. …
View PostAnastasia Beverly Hills Prism Palette Review & Swatches

Last holiday season Anastasia Beverly Hills released the Prism palette. Which includes a variety of neutrals, prismatic metallics, and bold pops of color. The packaging on this palette is a little more luxe compared to the other palettes (maybe not Sultry which is pure glitter). But still it's not minimalist instead it's a velvet black with a geometric prism on the cover. So it's a little more interesting than just the minimal palette name.…
View PostAnastasia Beverly Hills Sultry Palette Review & Swatches

Anastasia Beverly Hills just released a new palette called Sultry. They used to hold off on a lot of palette releases but have joined every other brand in releasing something new every month. This was the last eyeshadow palette I'm buying until like next spring or summer (not sure when I'm just putting myself on hold). Unlike the other ABH palettes this one costs $45 as compared to $42 for fourteen shades, and has a glittery packaging instead of a velvet one. The sultry eyeshadow palette is your essential smoky eye palette with fourteen shades with a lot of metallic shades to create any type of glam to smoky looks.…
View PostNYX Cosmetics Sugar Trip Squad Shadow Palette Review & Swatches

NYX Cosmetics for this holiday season appears to have their entire collection focused around candy with many items starting with the name Sugar Trip (though not all). They released several eyeshadow palettes within this collection though they don't all have the similar packaging. But when I picked up this palette from Ulta, I completely missed that there was a whole collection around this theme. While a few other items did catch my eye looking back at the collection while writing up this post (I was double checking prices to make sure I was accurate as possible like usual), I am not going to be purchasing them as I think my makeup collection is out of hand if I get anything else. I really need to go through what I have unless something comes out that's massive unique to the rest of the collection like this Sugar Trip Squad Shadow Palette.…
View PostMorphe 35M Boss Mood Artistry Palette Review & Swatches

Morphe has a large collection of palettes and after getting the Vault collection, I told myself I wasn't going to be picking up any new ones any time soon since I pretty much have the full range of collections with the other Morphe palettes in my collection. But after seeing the Morphe 35M Boss Mood Artistry Palette, I wanted this one as well as it has a unique color range of green, reds, and plum tones. And you don't see those a lot of the time being released so I wanted to get my hands on this palette for some interesting variety in my makeup. I love green because it's the color of my birth stone, though it's not my favorite color... black or red will always hold that spot.…
View PostIs the Anastasia Beverly Hills Subculture Palette as Bad as They Claim? Review & Swatches

One of the most hated palettes to come out within the last year is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Subculture palette. And even though Anastasia Beverly Hills claims to have reformulated the palette, it still remains something beauty gurus compare palettes to if they are failures. As far as fall out, shadows not blending well into each other, and overall just a flop. Initially wanted this palette, it's dark and edgy which is typically what I reach for when I'm going my makeup, but after so many negative reviews I added it onto my anti-haul list. The palette was removed from Ulta and only sold on Anastasia Beverly Hills' website. And after trying my sister's palettes for Soft Glam, Modern Renaissance, and Norvina I decided to just get the Subculture Eye Shadow Palette for myself and see if it's still as terrible as everyone claimed.…
View PostFlower Beauty Warrior Glitter Shadow in Camo & Poison Review

The other day while I was at Ulta with my sister (she was replacing one of my palettes that she shattered the other night), I noticed these Warrior Glitter Shadows from Flower Beauty. And I got really into liquid eyeshadows from the ColourPop Supernova Shadows, and I really wanted to give these a try since they have a green and blue that ColourPop don't have in their range. There are six different shades in this collection but I only picked up the shades Camo and Poison since they were different from the other liquid shadows I already have from ColourPop.…
View PostColourPop Ooh La La! Palette Review & Swatches

This is their second 9-pan palette that includes a mirror and the shade names written underneath the shadows. And this palette will help you look really pretty!
