I’ve been really enjoying doing body painting lately or at least doing it once a week. That way I don’t get burnt out. This week I turned myself into Marvel’s Scarlet Witch from Wandavision. I love Wanda, she’s one of my favorite characters in the MCU. I let my Discord decide who I turned myself into and I’m really glad they went with this character. The other choices were: Deadpool, Spiderman, Captain Marvel, and Iron Man. Plus, I haven’t seen anyone else recreate this version of Scarlet Witch in body paint. The original? Sure. But this one? Nope. Maybe I’m wrong but I didn’t see any on a quick search. I mostly was trying to get a sense of how anyone else would do the headpiece, but I couldn’t find one that didn’t use an actual headpiece, so I winged it. And I have to say I love how this look turned out.
This month I’m not really streaming as work is kind of hectic, but my goal is even if I don’t stream I’m still going to do the weekly theme. This week’s was Steampunk (which I picked) and I LOVE how this came out. I was going to have a corset that matched for a full body look… but I got the wrong size. So instead, I still have the shoulder piece on but made the leather collar out of body paint to go with the makeup look of cogs, gears, and clock pieces.
Here is a look I did today. Joined some other streamers (Foxtail, Cassii, and Louise also known as Bunny) over on Twitch for a community event we’re calling Caturday. Where we each dress up to a specific theme then share the hype from one stream to the next. You should totally check them out as they are A-MAE-ZING! Absolute sweethearts that I love talking to regularly.
It’s been a hot minute since I posted something makeup related on my blog, but to be honest I haven’t been wearing a lot of makeup since quarantine for COVID-19 began. Mainly as I ran out of contacts and putting makeup on without being able to really see was a hassle. So, I’ve only really started wearing makeup again for the last month. But it’s still been my go-to “roughly” since quarantine started.
One of my favorite Christmas movies of all time is How the Grinch Stole Christmas with Jim Carrey. I could honestly quote that movie all season long and even after that. So, when I saw Peachcait over on Instagram created a look inspired by the movie in an ornament, I knew I had to do my own version of it. While hers is half of her face, I kept mine as added detail to the look. Mainly as I can’t wear colored contacts and I wanted to do something I little bit different. Check out her original version of the look as it is incredible!
I like to try out different foundations then get into moods where I wear one for several weeks before switching to another one. So it takes me quite a while to get through a single bottle of foundation. To a point where I start to forget how they stack up next to each other, so I thought I would do a massive comparison of all the ones that I keep in my collection. I’m going to do a similar ranking as I did in my Juvia’s Place palette comparisons where I’m going use a few different categories to determine which foundation is truly the best. The categories will be the following: wear time, finish, price, shade range, coverage, amount and applicator.
