Everything I Read in 2022

Everything I Read in 2022

It's been an entire year. I hope everyone had a good year. I thought I would wrap up the year by looking back at every single book I read in 2022. We'll see if 2023 is similar in terms of how many books I read.…

My Thoughts on The Traitor Queen (The Bridge Kingdom, Book 2) by Danielle L. Jensen

My Thoughts on The Traitor Queen (The Bridge Kingdom, Book 2) by Danielle L. Jensen

After reading The Bridge Kingdom by Danielle L. Jensen I was looking forward to the next book in the series called The Traitor Queen. Aren has been taken captive after Lara's father conquered Ithicana using plans by Lara that she decided against sending to him, thus making her a traitor and banished from Ithicana. I was curious to see how this was going to play out especially between Lara and Aren, as the last time they saw each other Aren kicked her out of his kingdom and stated that he would kill her if he ever saw her face again. How they are going to reconcile was something I wanted to know, as I couldn't see a happily ever after happening for them after those events.…

Mid-Year Reading Wrap Up (2022)

Mid-Year Reading Wrap Up (2022)

The year is officially halfway over, so I thought it was time to look back at all the books I've read so far since the start of 2022. Several of these books I read multiple times during the course of the year, so the actual number of books is higher if you take that into consideration, but I didn't count how many times I re-read books, and some of them I only re-read certain sections, like returning to the romance only portion of some books and skipping the plot. It depends on the book and what I was in the mood for at the time. I also did not include any books that I read in previous years in this list, only the new ones.…

Looking Back at June 2022

Looking Back at June 2022

I've officially been at my new job for a full month and have spent the entire time training. It's been interesting, as it's felt like I've been at school for a month instead of actually working. There have been homework assignments, presentations, and demonstrations of knowledge. I'll be curious to see what happens once I get into actually working tasks/issues. But so far it's been non-stop learning. I finished off the month by giving a demonstration of what I had learned thus far and will have several more of these next month. I think it went pretty well, and I found it interesting how to go into the presentation, as it was different from how I gave trainings in the past.…

My Thoughts on The Bridge Kingdom (The Bridge Kingdom, Book 1) by Danielle L. Jensen

My Thoughts on The Bridge Kingdom (The Bridge Kingdom, Book 1) by Danielle L. Jensen

The Bridge Kingdom by Danielle L. Jensen is something that's been on my TBR for a hot minute, and I finally got around to reading it. No spoilers, this book was an interesting read. It goes back and forth between Lara's and Aren's POVs to tell the events of the story. Lara was set to the Bridge Kingdom to act as a spy, so her father could invade and take control over the bridge (the only true route for trade between Northern and Southern countries). However, during the course of the book, she learns that not everything she was raised to believe is true. It's a compelling and intense story from start to finish.…
