Thoughts and Theories on ACOSF

I don't know why, but instead of writing about a book I've just read I thought I would share thoughts and theories on A Court of Silver Flames which is the fourth (next) book in the A Court of Thorns and Roses series by Sarah J. Maas. It doesn't come out until March, but I felt like sharing some thoughts on characters and theories on the upcoming book.…
View PostThe Pop Culture Download #13: Clockwork Prince & Clockwork Princess

This week I have been heavily reading completing the rest of The Infernal Devices series: Clockwork Prince and Clockwork Princess, by Cassandra Clare. Now I have no idea what I'm going to go onto next. Comparing the three series in the Shadowhunter Chronicles, I would have to put this one in second place after the first half of The Mortal Instruments (City of Bones to City of Glass). I love the second half of The Mortal Instruments, but The Infernal Devices just ranks slightly higher than those. The Dark Artifices comes in after followed by Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy. …
View PostThe Umbrella Academy: Thoughts on Season One

Netflix released a new series back in February that I just got around to watching called The Umbrella Academy, which is an adaptation of the comic book series by the same name (created by Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá under Dark Horse Comics) developed by Steve Blackman and Jeremy Slater. It's an interesting premise as the story revolves around seven adopted siblings each with their own powers. The family is completely dysfunctional and brought back together by the death of their father and the threat of an impending apocalypse. I'm not going to go into the details of the plot as to not give any spoilers in case you haven't seen the series yet but were planning on doing so in the future.…
View PostBeauty Trends I’ll Never Do

I got this idea from Mandy from A Girl, Obsessed who shared the trends she does not do and Rebecca who did an anti-haul on From Roses. And I love those ideas. You normally don't see people commenting on things they don't enjoy doing or don't see the point of when it comes to trends. Or at least, I never see anyone commenting or posting about that sort of thing. So when I saw two of my favorite bloggers share their thoughts on this topic, I wanted to share my own as well. As I love it!…
View PostA Letter to My Dad

I've been going back and forth on if I really wanted to write this for Father's Day. And it's not the type of letter one would typically write on Father's Day as I currently don't have a great relationship with my dad as he has basically abandoned me since I graduated high school when he chose alcohol over his family. So I'm not writing this to that dad as I do not consider him one anymore... that version of him is just the man who replaced my father. So I'm writing to the dad I remember growing up, the image I've frozen in my head that I choose to remember my father by. The one that I aspired to be and got excited whenever he got home from a business trip. The dad who just wanted to make his two daughters smile and have a better life then he had growing up.…
