Looking Back at December 2022

Last month of the year. Where has the time gone? This year has had some of my lowest moments (losing my job) to feeling like a weight has been lifted off my shoulder for the first time in almost five years (getting a new job). Not only that, but I got the majority of my teeth fixed, and I still have some more work to be done of course. But I no longer hate the thought of smiling and having people see my teeth. My habits regarding my teeth are better than they were before, and I intend to make that a priority in 2023 so this never happens again. Because I realize when it came to my health, I was doing the wrong thing. I was letting work dictate when or if I could go see doctors, dentists, etc. As I felt like I could never take time off to do so, but not anymore. So, here's to the next year and making myself a priority. But before the new year can kick off, I wanted to look back at everything that happened in December 2022. From what I read, what I did on stream, what happened in my personal life, and what I did as far as body painting.…
View PostLooking Back at November 2022

This month I decided to take a break from body painting after doing so many looks in October and reacquaint myself with video games since I really didn't play anything in October. The goal was to play a bunch of shorter games, or rather, games I was excited to play that came out in November. And I enjoyed the heck out of it. Most of them I played on Twitch, but I also played Persona 5 Royal offline.…

This month was a busy one. Things kicked off at work (i.e. finished my main training and started supporting customers), a bunch of family events, a work trip, and more teeth work. I don't think I had a single week where I didn't have something going on. So, this post is probably going to be a bit long as I look back at everything that happened in the last month.…
View PostLooking Back at June 2022

I've officially been at my new job for a full month and have spent the entire time training. It's been interesting, as it's felt like I've been at school for a month instead of actually working. There have been homework assignments, presentations, and demonstrations of knowledge. I'll be curious to see what happens once I get into actually working tasks/issues. But so far it's been non-stop learning. I finished off the month by giving a demonstration of what I had learned thus far and will have several more of these next month. I think it went pretty well, and I found it interesting how to go into the presentation, as it was different from how I gave trainings in the past.…
View PostSpring Bees Body Paint & Art

We all have things we're allergic to. Some people are allergic to specific foods or can't handle certain things (nuts, gluten, lactose, etc.) and then there are those that are allergic to other things (pollen, dust, animals, etc.). I fall into the last group. I'm allergic to bees. Not to a deadly degree, but if I do get stung by them or wasps or get any other kind of bug bite my skin balloons ridiculously. Add on the fact I'm allergic to the medicine commonly given to deal with that swelling, it's a fun combination. Since Spring is returning, that means bees are going to be coming back. So, I thought it would be fun to body paint them this week.…
View PostYou’re A Mean One, Mr. Grinch (Body Paint)

For the first Saturday (Caturday) of December, we decided to take on Classic Christmas characters. I let my Discord decide between a few iconic characters who I could become. They ended up deciding I would turn into the Grinch. And I seriously love how this turned out.…
View PostMarvel’s Scarlet Witch Body Paint

I've been really enjoying doing body painting lately or at least doing it once a week. That way I don't get burnt out. This week I turned myself into Marvel's Scarlet Witch from Wandavision. I love Wanda, she's one of my favorite characters in the MCU. I let my Discord decide who I turned myself into and I'm really glad they went with this character. The other choices were: Deadpool, Spiderman, Captain Marvel, and Iron Man. Plus, I haven't seen anyone else recreate this version of Scarlet Witch in body paint. The original? Sure. But this one? Nope. Maybe I'm wrong but I didn't see any on a quick search. I mostly was trying to get a sense of how anyone else would do the headpiece, but I couldn't find one that didn't use an actual headpiece, so I winged it. And I have to say I love how this look turned out.…
View PostI Turned Myself into a Cracked Stone Statue

Tonight during a Twitch stream, I turned myself into a cracked stone statue using body paint and some eyeshadow. This look was roughly inspired by @kristinefargerik and @artyfaceart, and the only thing edited in the photos is my eye color. We got a little carried away during stream with stone/cracked puns, which I thought was hilarious. Usually I have a long list of products that I used when creating looks but I only used a few products. Those being: Madeyewlook body paint in Yeti and Ink, ColourPop Smoke Show palette, and NYX liquid liners.…
