My Essentials for Working From Home
For the last week, I've been working from home for work. So far, I've been loving it. I am a service manager for a company that works with hospitals around the world on various cloud platform software. I've been at this company for years, and used to work every day in downtown Minneapolis. Until the company decided to redo things, and sent pretty much everyone home to work with a small office still in downtown Minneapolis that we can work at from time to time. I have yet to go in there, but if I do they allow dogs. So, I might at some point bring her with me down there. I'm not sure yet. Working from home could be easily described as a gift and a curse. Now I don't work from home on a regular basis as I need to be in the office for regular meetings throughout the day, but on rare occasions I do get to work from home on projects. And balancing work and play in your home, can be difficult. Especially if you don't have your own place or there are pets in the house. Most of working from home does boil down to being able to motivate yourself and sticking to a deadlines you often have to set yourself.
