My Week Wearing ColourPop x Kathleen Lights Dream St. Pressed Eyeshadow Palette

The Dream St. Palette was a collaboration between ColourPop and Kathleen Lights, and of all of the palettes I recently purchased from ColourPop this one has to be one of my favs. You got that perfect mixture of neutral colors and warm tones so it’s a wonderful combination for anyone. Plus you have a lovely mixture of mattes, metallics, and satins. Plus I love that the shadows are buttery and easy to blend like all of their individual shadows which are honestly some of my favorite though I often forget they are sitting in my collection. Then I go ham with wearing them non-stop, and I will probably do the same with this palette in particular.

ColourPop Dream St PaletteThere are tons of different looks that you can do with is palette. And I love playing with the supernova shadows while also using this palette. Some of my favorite looks that I did combined the two. I did a makeup tutorial using the palette but took photos every other day of the looks I made using this palette since I’m wearing/testing out each palette for a week before I hit publish on this post so every post is in depth. I’ll be doing one of each palette I got from ColourPop on Mondays until I’ve gone through all of the palettes.

Day One

ColourPop Dream St Look Day 1

One the first day of my week long adventure of wearing the one palette, I decided to go with a semi-cut crease eyeshadow look with a heavy accent of the shade Mermaid Boy which is a metallic deep teal. The other shadows that I used for this look included: Shooting Star as an overall base with potion in the crease, one the inner third I used Kaleidoscope, and the outer portion being that Mermaid Boy color. And in the outer most corner I mixed Water Bearer and Elfish.

As far the rest of my makeup on this look, I’m wearing the ColourPop Lippie Stick in the shade Pillow Talk. My eyeliner is the Wet n Wild Skinny Liquid Liner which is the same eyeliner I am wearing every day in this post as it’s just my go to at the moment. On this day for foundation I was wearing NYX Stay Matte But Not Flat Liquid Foundation in Ivory. As far as concealer along with every day afterwards I was wearing Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer in Fair Neutral. I will have a separate review of that concealer in the future as I was testing that as well all week long. I was also wearing the NYX Worth the Hype Mascara, Physician Formula Butter Bronzer, and ColourPop blush. On this day, I was not wearing a highlighter. In my brows I was wearing ColourPop Boss Brow Pencil in Dark Brown.

Day Two

ColourPop Dream St Look Day 2

This day I was in a copper mood. So I used the shades: Potion, Elfish, and Star Dust. I also used the ColourPop Supernova shadow in Firecracker as a base. As this was a work day I only wore concealer, liner, and mascara. As far as my lips, I was wearing the ColourPop Lippie Stick in Poison. All of the other specific products for the other pieces were mentioned in the previous day.

Day Three

ColourPop Dream St Look Day 3

On the third day I wanted to play some more with the teals so I did this look with a base of the Supernova shadow in Mothership. I did not wear anything on my lips for no reason in particular other than I forgot to put something on. As far as shadows from the Dream St Palette that I used, the shadows I used were the following: Shooting Star, Magical, Water Bearer, Elfish, and Mermaid Boy.

Day FourColourPop Dream St Look Day 4

In this photo, I didn’t have anything on my lips but I did wear the ColourPop Ultra Satin Lip in Stripped throughout the day. I wanted a more neutral look this day compared to the previous. I used the Supernova shadow in Prelude as a base with Sweat Dreams on top. The other shadows used were: Shooting Star, Elfish, and Potion. Unlike the previous days I wore Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara.

Day Five

ColourPop Dream St Look Day 5

On the fifth day, I decided not to use the Supernova Shadows as a base for anything and wanted to dip into the neon red shade Spark. So I used that for a halo look along with the shades: Shooting Star, Magical, Sweet Dreams, Potion, and Elfish. I am also wearing Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick in Christmas Cookie. And in my water line I have ColourPop’s creme gel liner in Honeydude. And again for mascara I’m wearing Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara.

Day Six

ColourPop Dream St Look Day 6.jpgFor the sixth day, this was the last work day so I decided to do another neutral look using the shade Twinkle as I had yet to use it that week. For the look I started with the shade Shooting Star mixed with Moony as a base all over my lids. Then I built up the crease with Magical. Next I took Sweet Dreams all over the lids then add Twinkle on the outer half of the lid. To add some depth I added Elfish to the outer corner. On the inner corner of my eye I used the Supernova Shadow in Prelude. The lower lash line is a combination of Kaleidoscope and Mermaid Boy.

As I took Friday off of wearing makeup, this was done on Saturday so I had time to do a full face of makeup. My foundation is Milani Conceal + Perfect 2-in-1 Foundation + Concealer Light Natural which is far too dark for me. I had to blend it down into my neck but you can still see a difference between the rest of my body and my neck. Anyways, the bronzer is ColourPop CA Dreaming and blush is ColourPop Pressed Powder Blush in Noodle. On my lips is ColourPop Ultra Matte Lip in Flurries. Lastly I have Fenty Beauty Highlighter in Lightning Dust. The rest of the products are the same as they have been in every other look.

Day Seven

ColourPop Day 7.jpgOn the last day of wearing this palette (i.e. yesterday) I did a really light and airy look considering it was Easter. It was basically the same look as the day before, but instead of putting blue underneath my eyes I put a little bit of Shooting Star. I also put the Supernova Shadow in Running in Orbit as an eyeshadow topper in this look. Which didn’t last the longest as those work so much better as a base, but I didn’t think about that until after I was done. On my lips is Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick in Christmas Cookie.

Final Thoughts

So overall, I really love this palette and can see myself reaching for it all of the time as these are basically my go to shades on a daily basis for makeup. Let me know if you would like more of these week wearing a single palette reviews as I had a lot of fun doing this and we have a lot of palettes to get through.

Love ya,
