The Boston Travel Diaries: Get Ready With Me

Day Two of working in the MA office, and I couldn’t get this idea out of my head. So, we’re doing a get ready with me. I’m not a morning person (like at all), so I make sure my makeup routine when I have to get up and go places is real quick. If I can put it off until I’m more awake, I will and then I take more time with it. But there’s none of that on office days.

Don’t mind the sunburn, I swear I was good about putting it on last weekend and my skin still rebelled. At least I didn’t get sun poisoning this time.

The Products

Alright, quick and dirty of what I brought with me in my makeup bag, that I’m using for this Get Ready With Me.

Note: there are some additional products in my bag including another brow pencil and two more 12-pan palettes. As I didn’t know which palette I wanted to use on the trip and I like having options. Plus, there was room in the bag for them.

  • Fenty Beauty Eaze Drop Blurring Skin Tint in No. 2
  • SheGlam Concealer in the shade Concealer
  • Juvia’s Place Bronzed in Light
  • Hourglass Ambient Strobe Lighting Blush in Incandescent Electra
  • Black Moon Cosmetics Moonlighter in Centipede
  • Urban Decay Brow Blade in Brown Sugar
  • Tarte Tarlette In Bloom Palette
  • Essence Volume Stylist Curl & Hold Mascara
  • NYX Epic Ink Liner in Black
  • Jaclyn Cosmetics Liquid Lipstick in Imma Cancer

Normally, I don’t use this concealer as I generally try not to support SheIn due to the way they treat their employees but it was literally the only thing I had that was remotely close to matching my skin tone. I need to get something else but this was cheap and easy to throw into my travel bag at the last second.

Step 1: Attempt to Wake Up & Put on Foundation

Also included in this step, attempt to tame the curls a little, put on some sunscreen, brush teeth, and put on deodorant. That’s all in the waking up stage.

Step 2/3: Conceal around the eyes and put on brows

Step 4: Face Powders (Blush, Bronzer, Highlight)

Step 7: Lipstick

Step 6: Eyeshadow Time

I started out with the shade Flower Child all around then took Smarty Pants to deepen it. Next, I used Activist in the other corner. Then on my finger I used Rocker for the lids. Lastly, I used some Jetsetter on the lower lash line.

Step 7: Finish the eyes (aka liner and mascara)

And ta-da! All ready for the day. And it only took me 15 minutes.

Love ya,
