It’s been a few weeks since I’ve done one of these Pop Culture Downloads, but I had just been re-watching my favorite Christmas movies leading up to the holidays and didn’t have much to share. But now I do! I also got Disney + for Christmas so I am so watching things on there, so look out for that content in the future in these Pop Culture Downloads. Anyways, onto my thoughts on some things that I discovered or watched recently.
Star Wars IX: The Rise of Skywalker
I saw Star Wars IX: The Rise of Skywalker on Christmas with my extended family and I LOVED it! I thought it was the perfect way to round out the nine part series on the Skywalker family. I won’t give spoilers here in case you want to see it without having the plot of the movie given away. The special effects were great, almost every single lingering question was answered by J.J. Abrams, and they brought a feature of something from each trilogy into the finale which really made it finally feel complete while still leaving enough wiggle room that they could do spin offs in the future. If you hated the first two movies in the final trilogy or thought they were too fanfiction, you won’t like this movie. I, on the other hand, did not feel that way and thoroughly enjoyed it. It’s impossible to please everyone I suppose.

Luigi’s Mansion 3
My mom got me Luigi’s Mansion 3 for Christmas along with Disney +, and I have just started playing it in addition to the other Nintendo Switch games I haven’t completed yet (Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey). Not doing a review of it quite yet but it’s really fun so far. As all I’ve actually played so far is the introduction, but not quite out of the tutorial phase yet.

I was thinking of picking up Luigi’s mansion but I really must finish up the games I have started .

Yeah, I really need to finish the other games I’ve started on the switch. But I also have a bad tendency to flip between games every few hours, so I’ll probably finish this one around the same time I finish the other ones.

Well I’ve been working through the Kingdom Hearts games , currently on Kingdom Hearts 2, but I also have been playing Pokemon mystery Dungeon on my phone’s gba simulator, and also Terraria with my boyfriend . Oh and I just recently picked up pokemon sword and shield .

Pokemon Sword and Shield is on my wishlist, though I’ve heard mixed reviews on it. Either way I’m going to get it and play it at some point. I’ve never played Terraria but it looks interesting.

I waited on it , because or the mixed reviews and I was a little salty that i couldn’t transfer over my old aron babies from the previous games . But I caved and got them both , one for me and one for my boyfriend for Christmas. And Terraria, its literally my favorite game , that and Stardew Valley. I have both games on pretty kuch every device.

Really? You can’t transfer from old games, that sucks. You can’t even catch all of the Pokemon in-game from what I’ve heard. Did you end up going with Sword or Shield?
Yes, I love Stardew Valley. Such an addictive and relaxing game.

yeah pretty much , something about not having enough room or time to put all the pokemon in the game . I was really sad that all the eggs I hatched will not be able to be transfered . I’ll be playing Shield , and my boyfriend will playing Sword .
I’m such a huge fan of stardew valley and kost of the chucklefish games . Have you heard of the game Eastward ? Its supposed to come out on switch next year in January . Also the same team that made Stardew Valley is making a new game called Witchbrook thats supposed to be similar slice of life but in a witch school .
