Looking Back on March 2022

My string of bad luck continued into March. Besides not finding a new job, literally, every application of mine was rejected or came back with “we’re going with other applicants at this time”, my computer decided that I was no longer allowed to play video games after I finished Hollow Knight. I have professionally worked for a decade with computers, you would think I would be able to fix this issue rather easily. But nope… I did next to everything I could think of. …

Spring Bees Body Paint & Art

We all have things we’re allergic to. Some people are allergic to specific foods or can’t handle certain things (nuts, gluten, lactose, etc.) and then there are those that are allergic to other things (pollen, dust, animals, etc.). I fall into the last group. I’m allergic to bees. Not to a deadly degree, but if I do get stung by them or wasps or get any other kind of bug bite my skin balloons ridiculously. Add on the fact I’m allergic to the medicine commonly given to deal with that swelling, it’s a fun combination. Since Spring is returning, that means bees are going to be coming back. So, I thought it would be fun to body paint them this week.…

Evolution of my Body Painting Skills Over the Years

Some days I cannot believe how far my body painting skills have come for the years. So, I thought I would compare some of my earliest body paints to ones I’ve done more recently that had a similar vibe or theme. Not only has my skill improved but the quality of the photos has as well. It’s something I really love seeing. Some days I cannot believe how far my body painting skills have come for the years. Thoughts on The War of Two Queens (Blood and Ash, Book 4) by Jennifer L. Armentrout

The fourth installment of the Blood and Ash Series by Jennifer L. Armentrout was released called The War of Two Queen. I read it in a day… literally stayed up all night unable to put the book down. While I could do a proper review, I haven’t done so with the rest of the series. I have a lot of thoughts I wanted to share, which means I’m going to go heavy into spoilers, especially regarding the last few chapters of the book.…

I Read All Books in Fireblood Dragon Series by Ruby Dixon

After finishing Icehome series, I wanted to read more romance books. One of the characters from that series, Ashtar, is a drakoni which is a species featured and explored in Ruby Dixon’s Fireblood Dragon series. So, I thought I would check it out. All books have been released in the series as of March 2022. I figured instead of reviewing each book individually, I would share my thoughts on the series overall.…

Book Releases I’m Looking Forward to This Month

There are quite a few books releasing this month that I’m really excited to read as I’ve been waiting on them to come out for months. All of these are the latest releases in the series I’ve read. A few of these, I had been looking forward to reading sooner but the release date for them got pushed back to March for one reason or another by the author. And this month they should be coming out, so I’m super excited to get my hands on them.…

Looking Back on February 2022

I’m really sick of major life events. I swear something major has happened every month for the last year if not more. This month started with losing my job. The first job I’ve ever been fired from and I can’t believe the explanation I was given. I have my own conspiracy on what happened, but ultimately it doesn’t matter. I don’t have a job anymore. I gave them almost a decade of my life, and now that chapter is over. I’m trying to look on the bright side, which is really hard because I’m not an optimist. …

My Thoughts on House of Sky and Breath (Crescent City, Book 2) by Sarah J. Maas

It’s been two years since the previous Crescent City book was released by Sarah J. Maas. I will be avoiding sharing spoilers for the most part while discussing this book as there are mystery-solving elements to this book. Though unlike the first book in the series, the mystery was not the main focus. This one is more focused on the power-dynamic within Crescent City and going against the Asteri. Still, I’ll be avoiding them for the most part in this review.…
